Little things counts for lots

I woke this morning to a grey windy dawn. The street outside was damp with rain and the skies were heavy with storm clouds. We drove to the local supermarket to get our weekly shop, which is not something I enjoy doing, so I was just marking time until I could return and do a little writing.

As we turned out of our road, I saw the pretty pink cherry blossom on the trees and it immediately made me smile. I was amazed to see so many other trees in bloom or with budding leaves along the main road.

Here is today's Haiku to celebrate the coming of spring:

Delicate pink blooms

On a grey stormy morning

Lifting the doldrums
