Creative Compositions and Contemplations

I started writing short stories in May last year and have been lucky to have quite a few published in different anthologies. Earlier this year I submitted a short story called Pulling together to the Waterloo Festival Writing Competition and was absolutely thrilled for it to be picked as a winner along with so many great writing colleagues. At the end of last week we had the book launch. Under normal circumstances this would have been held in London, but due to the coronavirus we had the launch via zoom. It was lovely to be interacting with so many writers who I have only seen on facebook before. During the 90 minute launch, several people read from their stories and Gill shared a trailer for the book. There is a wide variety of interesting and well written stories from several genres.
