Meet Ava Green. She is the titular character from my latest short story to be accepted for publication.  Ava When Ben sees someone from his past, someone he loved and lost, he can't believe it is her, but in his heart, he knows it is. Will he finally understand what happened to Ava on that tragic night, and what lengths will he go to to have her back in his life? Many thanks to my son, Graeme, for the computer-sketch of Ava. You can read my story, along with these 23 other fantastic short stories, in the Evergreen Anthology by Bridgehouse Publishing, due for release on 15th November. I am so proud to be part of this great anthology. It was such an exciting project to be involved with and I hope everyone enjoys it to the full. It is a collaboration from authors around the world. Each story is based on a famous song title, but has nothing to do with the actual song or artist. My story is called "Who Wants to Live Forever?" and explores one man's misguided attempts to become world famous and the effect it has on a band of girls who are hungry for publicity and their first big gig.  All the songs, plus a few others that did not make it into the book, are available as a playlist on youtube here . It is a wonderfully eclectic mix. As a prelude to the stories, there is a taster book of drabbles (100 word stories) that will whet appetites to read the full stories. Each drabble is a story in it's own right. The books are available to purchase:  DRABBLES   and  MAIN BOOK My story was great fun to write and is my longest short story to be published so far at

Max come here," it felt a little strange. We had overtaken him in a field and Max decided to keep pace with us until he got to the river. I guess he wanted extra time to bathe but felt safer keeping with us than running on alone. So apart from walks in the beautiful countryside, I also got some writing done and sold a story; but that is a bit hush hush at the moment, I don't think I am allowed to tell anyone yet. I also had plenty of time to think through the idea I have for my novel and actually start to plot it out. I have been struggling with the concept but I talked it through with hubby and he thought it had legs if I could pull it off. I am aiming for it to be a psych
